Are you confused about what is a primary source and what is a secondary source?
The word Primary means - first, original. So think of it like Primary school, you do that first.
Primary sources are the sources that are original, like a document or letter that was produced at the time.
Secondary - means second, so these sources come after the primary source. They are created some time after the event, an example is a description in a text book.
